Inspiration sings praises into
The kindness of a psalm
Portraying the evidence
Of hope that lingers on and on
Lifting up the dismal heart
With light, laughter and love
Whispered in the prayers
Of one who breathes in
The music of a sincere belief
Faith that caresses the soul
With hope that is alive and sure
Giving light to the heart
And laughter to the hurt
Caressing the spirit with a promise
Of serenity, sincerity, sensitivity
The assurance that love will shine
Bright into the darkest storm
Bringing alive the dance of hope
And warming the heart with
Adoration and calm, tenderness
That breathes joy into the one
Who listens to God’s voice
Whispers of grace from the One
Who gave us all the blessing
Of His Son, Jesus the Messiah
The answer to our doubts and fears
The One who would bring us all
Compassion that lifts the broken
Heals the defeated and leaves peace
To the heart who needs freedom
His love is the answer to a prayer
Prayed by lips in need of more
Than a mere touch or word or deed
But, a trickle of the holy blood
Which covers every sin and shame
Relieves the sorrows and keeps alive
The whispers of God’s grace!
