Whisper

Nor whisper, that my days not spent in thine
or whispering to foul some coveting's design.

But whisper only, that thy love is kind,
and I by whispering, regret no path's consign.

Love, whisper that my art might lose one line
in thy behalf, as cherishing's refine.

I whisper to relinquish some confine
of thy own being, as its closeness' sign.

Then whisper that God's keeping is resign ~
were never so, some Holiness' entwines.

In whispering ~ thy will in HIs, is mine,
and ever more, all goodness, we will mind!
