Love Poem: Where We Hide

Where We Hide

Bits and pieces everywhere
Cardboard boxes on the floor
Cables hanging off the shleves
Steel cupboards with squeaky doors

Paperwork and coloured pens
A pair of scissors and sticky tape
An ancient fridge and bottle of scotch
To help us through the bad days

Noises inside
Like when you sit in a plane
It smells like hot chips
And the heat is insane

But it's my favourite room
I love every bit
From the click of the door
To the desk where you sit

And all that I wish
Is that I could hide there all day
Just sitting with you
Til the world fades away
