Where Love Resides

Love's imperfection makes us strong
love has no time to be annoyed
no room for doubt or jealousy.
Where live resides there is no void.

That flesh that was not of my flesh
whose life I chose to share
I almost lost my one true love
in distrusts explosive flare.

Only once did doubt imprison
hold me fast -it made no sound.
And in a panic I relentless
did not trust what I had found.

I worried all about his past
of his life where I'd not been
I was envious of the life he had
was sad I didn't know him then.

Where love resides there is no void
no room for jealousy, distrust or doubt
Those evil thoughts destroy our lives
Doubt always tries to push love out.

But love it took up residence
within this hopeful heart
I will not envy where he's been
I consider 'now' our start.
