Where Have All the Flowers Gone

Where have all the flowers gone, and sun’s soft smile at break of dawn; moonbeams glowing on the lawn as dusk gives in to sleepy yawn. Life goes by fast, those days have passed, for dreams don’t last, our die was cast. Missing now the gentle breeze that wafted softly through the trees; leaving hearts to feel at ease while passions gently sought to please. Longing for those summer nights when tender feelings felt so right; strolling ‘neath the pale moonlight as beams surrounded with delight. Love comes and goes, and no one knows why love’s sad lows on us impose. Suddenly a dream unknown I found myself there all alone; leaving me without atone, my beautiful sweet bird had flown. By myself I just hang on through dark of night till break of dawn; hiding tears with curtains drawn; O where have all the flowers gone.
