Love Poem: Where, Silence

Where, Silence

When songs would play,
You would serenade
Your gaze, found me in a tempered state
Mellow, at ease always, a pleasant state
Forgive the things I never said out loud
They have become empty shades as dark
As the sky above
Petals of flowers fall like leaves,
Weightless
effortless...
Moments of time spent in endless bliss
Where the soft side of me laid its hand in yours, forever safe.
I dreamt of moments where tears are never ending, where screams at the ceiling
And lying on the floor become only dotted I’s.
A period of time I tumbled into.
I dream of your smile, and the way you sang
How the sound of your voice would hold my anxiety of bones still.
Silence is no longer a curse, but a granted blessing for in it is
Where we meet, talking of dreams, speaking of love as if it were free
Silence is where you are alive, a place I cling to, but not allowing myself to
Stay stagnant in, struggling to be free
Silence is us, with endless possibilities,
Silence is where I prayed for you
Where I Loved you
Silence is darkness that holds this damaged soul captive
Where two friends are forever in company
