When You Fall Downstream

I

When the reverie has lost its shore,
when you can no longer search for more-
when the crowded room has lost its door,
is when I’ll link my soul to yours.
So, reach not without a connection-
I will show you what this life is for.

II

I will be your ground when you rise too high,
I will be your wings when you wish to fly-
I will free you from the tears you cry,
be your answers when you wonder why.
So, reach not without a hand to hold-
grasp onto me, don't say goodbye.

CHORUS

For your life is but a beautiful dream,
things aren’t always as they seem-
find ease in the comfort of my words,
you shall never go unheard.
Like the flight of a bird,
walk over my bridge...
                when you fall downstream.

III

If you stumble over an arc of blame,
if you’ve drowning in fear and shame-
if nobody ever knows your name,
is when I’ll ignite your burning flame.
You are passion and beauty combined-
please don’t ever feel ashamed.

CHORUS

For your life is but a beautiful dream,
things aren’t always as they seem-
find ease in the comfort of my words,
you shall never go unheard.
Like the flight of a bird,
walk over my bridge...
               when you fall downstream.

Oh, when you’re full of sorrow I’ll intervene,
bring to you a life unseen-
when shadows crawl I’ll light your spark,
when in doubt I’ll hide the dark-
for your life is but a dream,
walk over my bridge...
              when you fall downstream.

                                Baby, walk over my bridge…
                                when you fall downstream
