Love Poem: When the Heart Wants

When the Heart Wants

When we met- I knew it would be forever,
Those dark fathomless eyes and that deep voice;
We shared many magic moments so nice,
Such lovely walks along the beach hand in hand.
We would walk slow talking about whatever,
Oh, that special place we lay beneath a tree;
That perfect blue azure sky and gentle breeze,
And those rolling waves that caressed the sand.
This special memory is beautiful and grand,
You kissed my ruby lips, whispering sweet words;
And we were lost in our love- lulled by singing birds,
I wish, I had the power to have time freeze.
Like vines twining, growing together, so did our love,
Now, I weep at your tomb- " forever and ever my love."
