Love Poem: When I Saw Your Face

When I Saw Your Face

When I saw your face
(it was then I knew, we would be together)

Clouds of grey,
filled my day
With no hope,
of finding a pure love

On it goes,
in the throes
of a tortured state,
and almost giving up

Bridge 1
This disappointment, severs all, illusions of my heart
And visions of a future love, are paused before they start

Chorus
Then I saw your face,
and then I knew, we would be together
When I saw your face,
it was then I knew, we would be together

Just one gaze-
set ablaze,
dying embers of a hope,
nearing it’s end

Joyous days-
are here to stay,
broken pieces of my soul,
begin to mend

Bridge 2
When confessions of forever love, we whisper in our ears
The dammed emotions, they break free, and wash away our fears

Chorus
Then I saw your face,
and then I knew, we would be together
When I saw your face,
it was then, I knew, we would be together

Chorus
Then I saw your face,
and then I knew, we would be together
When I saw your face,
it was then, I knew, we would be together

Repeat chorus and fade
