What's Christmas Without Peace

A smart boy asked his parents, who were busy shopping,
to take him to the nearest Santa and make his Christmas wish;
setting in Santa's lap he told him this,
" What's Christmas without peace...
when kids like me are still dying?
What's Christmas without peace...
when stars can't be clearly seen in a sky covered with ash? "

" These are very profound words
for a child who cares about people sharing
the same Christmas joy! " Santa told him smiling.
" Don't wishes come true for boys,
too? " He exclaimed with a boyish ingenuity,
" Of course, they do, child...in spite of tragedy! "
Santa assured him with the tenderest hug.
" Then why, children my age still die, instead of getting love?

" Close your gorgeous eyes, sweet boy and make that wish twice...
so that all may hear it!" Santa ordered the dreamy child,
who struggled to keep them closed as long as it took;
then he slowly began wishing, " It's a wish for every kid alive:
orphans and sick ones, healthy and happy ones! "
" Which images do you see when you peak and look? "

" I see many children holding candles and singing for peace,
they sing in different languages...but love has a good reason to conquer
those who desire to keep Christmas in their homeland as I desire to keep it in mine! "
The happy boy said as he were part of that celebration under a brightly starlit sky,
" And what are they singing? " What's Christmas without peace! " His reply was.
That's the song you like them to sing...don't you? Santa exploded in jolly laughter.
