What You Do To Me

Verse 1: It’s a sad world we live in…
I see people gamblin’…
That was on television in Las Vegas…
We spend money just on…
Temporary pleasures…
Anyways, next subject ~
You flattered me and I laughed like the mad hatter…
You mean so much to me and more
I fell for you and I made my mistakes… but let’s be friends
Can’t help, but adore you for sure

Pre-chorus: In the spell of love that’s so earthly…
What about my growth spiritually?
Livin’ with guilt, sadness,
I’m weakly built, I must confess
Emotional pain hurts more than physical pain…
You should know his rain drives me insane

Chorus: We should stick together…
We get along with each other…
That would make us both better…
I can’t explain how I feel inside…
I’m speechless and so alone, something in me has died…
I can’t explain this satisfaction…there’s no need to hide
It’s impossible to let you go
I tried to break it off long ago,
But, you should know I love you so…
I adore you,
I’m not supposed to
It’s what you do to me…

Verse 2: I don’t live for the fame, the fortune, the greed, the power…
I live for God, Jesus, family, friends and me…sorry for acting so sour…
Distractions fill my day and sadly, so does dismay…
I’m crazy and I lose my train of thought today…
Despite my issues at home,
I don’t feel alone when we chat at night
Know that you’re not alone…
If you need a friend, I’m here…alright?

Pre-chorus: In the spell of love that’s so earthly…
What about my growth spiritually?
Livin’ with guilt, sadness,
I’m weakly built, I must confess
Emotional pain hurts more than physical pain…
You should know his rain drives me insane

Chorus: We should stick together…
We get along with each other…
That would make us both better…
I can’t explain how I feel inside…
I’m speechless and so alone, something in me has died…
I can’t explain this satisfaction…there’s no need to hide
It’s impossible to let you go
I tried to break it off long ago,
But, you should know I love you so…
I adore you,
I’m not supposed to
It’s what you do to me…

Verse 3: Superficial infatuation is what I’ve taken part in
One too many times…too many times…
I’ve committed those senseless crimes…
I’m thinking you’re my everything…
When I feel like close to nothing…
I want to feel forever young
I want to sincerely belong
If I can just soar from low valley to high mountain,
Then I'd have the motivation to stay with you for awhile
My fountain of fears affected me through thick and thin
Childish fears had a hold of me, but you make me smile

Pre-chorus: In the spell of love that’s so earthly…
What about my growth spiritually?
Livin’ with guilt, sadness,
I’m weakly built, I must confess
Emotional pain hurts more than physical pain…
You should know his rain drives me insane

Chorus: We should stick together…
We get along with each other…
That would make us both better…
I can’t explain how I feel inside…
I’m speechless and so alone, something in me has died…
I can’t explain this satisfaction…there’s no need to hide
It’s impossible to let you go
I tried to break it off long ago,
But, you should know I love you so…
I adore you,
I’m not supposed to
I know this to be true...
But...darling...
It’s what you do to me…

Bridge: It’s what you do to me…
It’s what you do to me…
It’s what I did to you…
You turned me on, darling boo
Darling boo, so true…
You made me no longer blue
You are a perfect fit like a hand to a glove…
You flattered me and I laughed like the mad hatter…
You mean so much to me and more
I fell for you and I made my mistakes… but let’s be friends
Can’t help, but adore you for sure
I gotta say, you’re a priceless happiness – well, it depends
You did give me joy on a golden platter…
