Love Poem: What Would Shakespeare Do?

What Would Shakespeare Do?

I never meant to hurt you
I never meant to desert you
I would turn on all the city lights
To brighten up your darkest night
What would Shakespeare do?
When he found himself in tragedy
Will he build sympathy to melody?
Then I would probably do what Shakespeare do
I would never change the subject when you’re talking
I would never complain about the way you’re walking
If you’re mad at me just say it but don’t hate me
I only have these mellow words to keep you close to me
If I could swim I would cross the deepest ocean
If I could sing I would sing a hundred love songs
But I’m only human with words filled my empty mind
Fall in love with the most beautiful man in the world
Then what would Shakespeare do?
When his heart is filled with love
Would he write down the sweetest poem to his love?
Then I would probably do what Shakespeare do
When the night is dark I see the sun in your eyes
Shining so bright that warming up my night
It feels so cold inside but you warm me out
Don’t you remember that?
I feel so lonely when I sit without you in the park
Feels empty like living alone in the dark
I’ve been running around the town all night
I just find out that the only thing I want is you
My face may not be as pretty as a queen
And all I have is this heart not a pile of gold
But if you don’t want to come back to me for once more
I would rip my heart out to show you how much I love you
