What Losing True Love Is About

As the sun sets, and the moon slowly fades away
I awaken to emptiness, and the start to a new day
Glancing over, to where you once slept
Emotions take over, tears fall, and i fill with regret
Words continue to bounce around inside of my head
because of the words, that were left unsaid
easy to think about, but, the words won't come out
Slowly I am learning, what losing true love is about

Memories are what I have left, some good and some bad
The good ones bring a smile to my face, the bad make me sad
Friends ask why I continue, to suffer the pain and heartache
But, who am I to argue with such things as fate
Sometimes in love, there is heartache and pain
The majority of the problems, truly I am to blame
Would it help, if I climbed a mountain to shout
That it might be to late, but, I found out what losing true love is about
