Welcome Home

Welcome home – “my, you have grown”
Where is the boy whose seeds were sown
Along the way – “listen to what I have to say”
You’re a child who knew to always praise and pray

Welcome home – “dear child, you’re never alone”
He is with you, both night and day… never on your own
You can always be sure of the light He shines down
And, know that one day He’ll give you a crown

Welcome home – “what love you’re known”
He’s the whisper at the secluded gravestone
Always a light in the darkest of nights, a fire inside
Preparing the heart so He will forever preside…

Where the love lives, there in the soul – blessing
The miracle, the gentleness, the spiritual expressing
Welcome HOME… what love You’ve known
It is in your eyes, your smile, your light – He did atone
For the joy You feel, such a blessing – so real – alive
He abides inside, a fire, a light… You will survive
Every test of time, because of this wonder of the heart
This grace that testifies – with a joy that He’ll impart,
Dancing through the stars in the sky, silencing the doubts
Reassuring, encouraging, delighting with glorifying shouts

Welcome HOME, He will always accept the child who knows
His love is like a spiritual smile, a blessing, wherever He goes
There is the reminder that because of Him, there is eternal life
Because He gave us the best gift, the most beautiful sacrifice

Welcome home, - “Never let go of the One whose hand you hold”
Because of Him there is a forever in paradise – on streets of gold
You’ll walk one day because you believe in the One we’ll never grieve
This Jesus who died and rose again – the One I love and will never leave
