Love Poem: We Were Once Beautiful

We Were Once Beautiful

It had indeed promised to be a fruitful journey
For we had being brought together by a blue ferry
I had known the birding would be huge but it I will carry
So beautiful it was as we had set off to write our own story

A story understood to only to be told to yet our unborn children
Of how lovely it was growing up and falling in love in the brethren
A story that was preordained to sooth our lovely offspring to slumber
But now it will only be to tell them of that person we will always remember

We set off together to explore the forest of lust
Very lovely it was and forever I thought it will last
The sweet flower nectar that never would get lost
The beautiful smile that I always remember the most
A smile I was unwavering to make mine at all cost
Unfortunate for me, it was never part of HIS list
Else any length would I have gone with my fist

But we got lost in this beautiful forest
For we had walked with no time to rest
Stirring all round but we held to the west
But yes indeed we were actually lost

Lost in the forest to the joy of our long and unforgotten hallucinations
Phantasms that kept lingering in the chambers of our unforgotten retentions
Dancing to the beat our disinclination to succumb to the forces of vain forgetfulness
A dream it was but I was poised and determined to fight all odds to making it a reality
That required of us is to crave for a safe voyage through the valley of the wilderness
For I knew if that then it shall be not only exquisite but good for our emotions
But that which I dire not fight, evident itself and offered by conditions

The ocean of tears still gushes from my eyes of lifeless
Falling into the calabash of dreams in strings of endless
A calabash that is now crushed into shards of countless
To what I owe the fault of such a calamity, I am clueless
From the land of my birth I had returned with happiness
Only to fortuitous the unsolicited lodger of unhappiness

But why?
Why?

Why? does the shadow less faces kept on staring
Through the stained classes, they kept appearing
From nowhere and everywhere, I kept wondering
Away I told them but, around they kept lingering
My effort yielded nothing for they kept pestering

Everything had changed so acutely and I was curious
As if it a comedy but believe me it was rather serious
We fictitiously parted ways with no one being furious
But I know once more it will illuminate and be glorious
