We Need Love
There's a lot going on in the world today;
Some people don't even take the time to pray.
Instead of the Bible that we should read,
We have bigotry, jealousy, hatred, and greed.
We watch the news and that's all we see:
Things are not what it used to be.
Here's the message from me to you;
This is what I suggest we do.
We don't need weapons or anyone getting hurt,
And we can't keep treating people like dirt.
We have many problems that can be overcome,
But we must work together to get it done.
Encourage each other that things will be all right;
The last thing we want is another senseless fight.
No matter who you are, let's not pretend
That this madness must come to an end.
What am I talking about, you ask?
The answer to this is not an easy task.
But what I request is something that we're short of;
This is what everybody needs: love.
