We Know Each Other's Love

I know that you love me
It's in your warm blue eyes
As they dance to the fire
Of passion within your heart
They speak of the recognition
Of the partnership between you and I
I know that you love me
It's in your sweet smile
That makes my knees go weak
A million butterflies
Flutter in my tummy
The secret bond between two lovers
I know that you love me
It's in that endearing laughter
That captures the very essence of your nature
It fills the room with sunshine and life
It's easy to forget you have Alzheimer's
For that brief moment, it's like old times
I know that you love me
It's in your soft kiss
How could something so light
Shoot such powerful darts of emotion?
The simple action of this sign of affection
Hits thunderbolts of joy to the core
You know that I love you
It's in the way my face lights up
The minute I see you
I'm like an excited child at Christmas!
I've just been given an amazing present:
Time spent with my beautiful husband
You know that I love you
It's in my gentle stroking of your skin
It speaks of so much tenderness
Of how much you mean to me
It says "I miss you, adore you, need you"
And I'm sure you feel the same way, sweetheart
You know that I love you
It's in the way I praise God through song
And include you in this precious worship
I know you relished holding these fellowship meetings
As hands were raised skywards
United in music and spirit
You know that I love you
It's in the way I hold your hand
I never want to let you go
You grip on to me for dear life
Obviously returning the sentiment
Despair not at my departure
For it is but a short while
Oh I really love love these visits, Gordon
Because one thing is perfectly clear...
...we know each other's love
