We Could'Ve Been Us

Don't let fear or pride stand in the way of love. We don't get endless opportunities to find love.

Be inspired by this song. Feel love. Feel strong. Be free.

We could've been us

In the beginning
There was us
We met under the stars
We created Heaven on earth

We were on opposite sides
Of all good and evil
We learned and appreciated
That black and white isn't a given

As we navigated our lifetimes
Our stars were crossed always
But we should've given us a chance
We should've put pride away

Because...
We could've been us
We could've shone together always
We could've been us
We could've been the light each day

We could've been us
If we just gave love a chance
We could've been us
If we could feel free to take this dance

Now here we are
Two broken hearts in this space
Feeling so lonely
Missing that warm embrace

Why couldn't we do it?
Put it all out there to see?
Why couldn't we do it?
Allow our hearts to reveal?

Life passes us by
The sands and waters flow
Nothing stays the same
We have to be free to let love show

Oh, oh, oh...
We could've been us
We could've shone together always
We could've been us
We could've been the light each day

We could've been us
If we just gave love a chance
We could've been us
If we could feel free to take this dance

We could've been us
We could've been the sun and moon
We could've been us
We could've killed the solitude

We could've been us
If we just gave our souls this time
We could've been us
If we just allowed our love to shine

Oh, oh, oh...
We could've been us
We could've shone together always
We could've been us
We could've been the light each day

We could've been us
If we just gave love a chance
We could've been us
If we could feel free to take this dance

We could've been us
We could've been the sun and moon
We could've been us
We could've killed the solitude

We could've been us
If we just gave our souls this time
We could've been us
If we just allowed our love to shine
