Love Poem: Wasted Times

Wasted Times

Wasted times that I spent on you
When it comes to love I'm not sure what I'm meant to do
People never really love you like they pretend to do
I wish I could get back the wasted times I spent on you

My head is filled with thoughts about the girl I want to forget
What do I need to do to think about you less?
Right now there isn't another girl that I'm thinking of loving
I need to find a way to get over you, but I'm tired of drinking and clubbing

This wasn't meant to be a love poem, but you're clearly on my mind
I've been stuck with writers block, and I hate that you're the subject of my first rhymes
I'd say I didn't care about you, or I wish we never met, but that would be a lie
I wear my sunglasses so you can't see me cry

I invested so much into you and I lost it all
I deleted your number so I don't do something silly like give you a call
I gave you a heart that you weren't worthy to hold
You have a beautiful face, but the ugliness in your heart eventually showed

I wish I could get back the wasted times that I spent on you
When it comes to love, it turns out I wasn't meant for you
People never actually love you the way they pretend to do
I wish I could get back the wasted times I spent on you
