Love Poem: Wanting More of You

Wanting More of You

Where did it begin?
Seeing those sad, lovely eyes
saunter by my desk,
or somewhere on the street.

Watching you walk home,
Quick paced step, tennis shoes,
Wanting more of you
Young heart skips a beat

Weekends full of hope,
seeing friends, in the scene
walking the the big mall
hoping we would meet.

Then summer came back
working out, long and lean
Weekend job pumping gas
making money in the heat.

Party time gave chance
You showed up,
Drinks, dancing brought you near
Meeting you a real feat.

Night wore into morn
Friends paired off in between
We bumped in the hall
Eyes looking darkly sweet

Heart beats strangely fast
Whispering close, smell clean
Wanting more of you
Take your hand, down the street

Stars shining so bright
As close as we've been
We talk for an hour
Fragrant air, flowers sweet

Sun rises in sky
Hair flows down like a queen
Wanting more of you
I crumple in defeat

Stammering some words
Wiggling in my jeans
Wanting more of you
Shuffling both my feet

You turn to my face
A kiss, we gently lean
Wanting all of you
we sit down on a seat

Park bench, cold and hard
Painted white and green
What a perfect place
To fall in love so sweet
