Waking Up To a Beautiful Dream

Every dream is always the same,
I escape to the stables,
Looking for you,
Holding you in my arms,
A kiss softly on the lips.
Falling on the hay.
But that didn't happen,
Because the hay was replaced,
By a room in a mansion.
As I look into your eyes,
I hear you call my name,
My name in this life.
I realize this is no dream,
But a memory where my name is the same.
A past life with you.
As I hear the alarm, you disappear.
I wake up but not cursing, like many times before,
Just remembering.
I remember you from another time.
It is no longer a dream.
This is a memory, a past life.
Friends sense it, dragging me to a club.
To help me get over this rut, I'm in.
Not realizing that nothing but time will heal me.
A broken heart from another time.
I see someone standing,
Staring at me with her hand over her heart.
I walk towards her as tears fall from my eyes.
It's you as I lightly touched her face, calling her name.
You look into my eyes, telling me,
I have traveled centuries to find you,
I'm not letting you go this time, my love.
They can't stop us anymore.
Then you lightly kiss my lips,
That I waited a century for.
