Waiting For You Brings Up Memories (Part 1)

I sit in my room - waiting for you,
Waiting for these - hopes to come true,
I hold your gift - in my hand,
Praying for the trip - we had planned,
Will you come - to my rescue,
Will we have - this trip for two,
To go to the beach - feet in the sand,
Having our own - private dreamland,
If this will happen - I have no clue,
Waiting for you - is hard to do,
If we could go - it would be grand,
Running so long - I can hardly stand,
Please take me to a place - far far away,
Please take me to a place - everything's okay.

Please take me to a place - everything's okay,
Sitting next to you - at the bay,
And laughing and joking - in Chinatown,
Has never been thought of - as a letdown,
Let's go to that place - out of the way,
Someplace safe - where we can stay,
A place that we - could never turn down,
Where I would never - be able to frown,
If we go there - just for a day,
I'd have my own - special get-a-way
Even if - it's just across town,
We can hang there - until the sun goes down,
Just me and you - having fun,
With the hope that this - has only begun.

With the hope that this - has only begun,
We'll have many more chances - I reckon,
I just wish - this would happen soon,
Like that night we sat - and looked at the moon,
It was like you were - a male siren,
As soon as I saw you - I was taken,
And when we sat - in the sand dune,
At the beach - in the middle of June,
We played in the water - and under the sun,
There was nothing - I could have done,
Your voice was a song - playing it's tune,
Not even the best - were immune,
I was taken - I admit,
It was not over - I knew it,

Part 2 is the next one.
