Love Poem: Waiting

Waiting

My hands too tired to write, motionless they fall
Mind and soul lethargic and dull, I watch the show

Life spinning-me sitting-watching the leaves tremble
in rays of light hidden from my window

I rest, wait for my soul to heal
wonder at my raising breath and listen
for sounds of joy to inspire my heart to beat

the pitter patter of his slippered feet,
my babies joy to dry this weep.
