Love Poem: Void Where Prohibited

Void Where Prohibited

waking rakes your thirsty dreams.
you laugh thinking you pushed
the nightmare aside. swallowing
down the bone-stealing juice,
you match your daily attire.

gritting or smiling, you hold fast to the talon-fists
of surviving. it's 120% you give
to the double switchblade of office generousity
-- the mirror of your tell-tale lover.

YOU CAN VOID ALL THAT!

it's like you died and returned
the straw that broke the camel's back.
you can tick life off
and make love blind coming to.
help it! void where prohibited!
center flash!

stamina can catch a pale
under a storming euphor-O-rash.
irony-set, you'll be slap-turning hips --
bridled by neon wet nails.
in a thunder roll, you'll shed breathed principals.

it's like you died and returned
the straw that broke the camel's back.
you can tick life off
and make love blind coming to.
help it! void where prohibited!
center flash!
