all out of light
darkness wins again
the candles come out of nowhere
the scent of vanilla essence in the air
you save the day again
you come and sit next to me and i hold you close to keep you warm
we smile while listening to rare free jazz
the power will be back on tomorrow
when the chips are down and we are in a freefall crunch,
we know that we will be good because we got God, Family, and Each Other
and to think, we went from loathing each other to loving each other
love is a handful, but i enjoy the work when the reward is her heart
all of a sudden, the lights are all back on, and the heat is warmer than ever
we leave the candles burning
the scent of vanilla essence relaxes us fully
we smiles at God's Work
we'll pray for forgiveness for our oncoming sins later
