Valley of Our Dreams
When all the snow-capped mountains to your heart have been climbed
Would that I reach the lush valley seen in my dreams
To paint the image of your face
upon its canyon walls burned from memory
To lay beside the waterfall of your yearning
where wishes and perfection are found
wrapped in the arms of sensual grace
hearing songbirds sing their songs in harmony
To wait for the setting sun that approaches in silence
so we can listen for the echoes of our heartbeats
as they travel through the valley from distant dreams
And pay homage to our interwoven souls
with their welcomed sounds of love
as we journey into the wilderness of needs
to find the ancient, lost realm of paradise
