Love Poem: Valentine Wedding

Valentine Wedding

Valentine Day is in February,
When the weather is a bummer,
So you agreed it would be perfect
To have our wedding in the summer.
June is the romantic month
That looks good wrapped in red
And dressed up with two glowing hearts.
We chose that month to wed.

Your shoulder was there to lean on
When the troubles came by twos.
Your happy sense of humor
Could soon chase away my blues.
You were admirer of my triumphs,
Fierce protector when I'd fail.
When you walked ahead of me,
It was so I'd find an easy trail.

Love of mine God took you from me,
Far before it was your time.
They must have needed you in Heaven
When you were just in your prime.
You left me love to last forever
I am so happy you were mine,
So I am sending out this message,
I had the perfect Valentine.
