Love Poem: Valentine

Valentine

Vested in true intimacy they had no need for once yearly roses

Affection was not meant to be a calendar’s short-lived affair

Love and compassion would not be governed by one single day

Endearment for his darling could not be measured in trite trivia

Not a day passed without kisses’s passion and caring romance

To be married in all weather conditions required no reminder

In truth the couple had eloped together and never looked back

Nested in sweet feather’s comfort they spooned and mooned

Embraced and tickled their wedded devotion and infinite fancy
