Love Poem: Untitled 3

Untitled 3

Fake and crooked smiles
Judgement and conditional love all I ever knew
Broken promises and lies what I fed my heart and soul with
Then you came
For the first I found someone real
Someone true and safe to be
Your smile true and warm
Your love sweet and comforting
And in the winds of June,
Your love keeps me warm
In the wars of the world your loyalty protects me
And in starvation and thirst,
Your love feeds and hydrates me -
What a love yours is
Had I known, I would've spared myself for you
Had I known, I would've stayed waiting
For the love I knew robbed and scorned me -
I no longer believed
Loving became a helpless living
Loving became slavery and suicide until your path crossed mine
You are like a Messiah to my heart,
Salvation to my mind
And to my soul you reside poems never spoken
Your love, your smile
All I ever dreamt of but never found
To see you is to believe that dreams and wishes do come true,
Eventually
