Love Poem: Two Into One

Two Into One

So soft,
So sweet,
The Midnight Heat,
Our bodies together clung,
We were two lovers,
Incomplete,
Until lashed together
In that hour of our love,

In all of time,
On all the earth,
And anywhere under the sun,
So madly in love,
We were two lovers,
In the Midnight Heat,
We somehow became but one

Two hearts as close,
As can be dared,
Wrestling as just one,
If I live a thousand years,
And all I endeavor
Is to again to achieve
Such a love so strong,
It wouldn't matter
If I lived forever
It would be but always wrong,
I will look to the sky,
And sadly sigh,
For it is your love
For which I long.
