Twinkle, Twinkle
I have a reputation to maintain
and a demanding job description.
I must twinkle appealingly,
enhancing the romantic
evening of lovers who
gaze at the sky while
wishing on ME.
How great that
makes me
feel!
Not
all those
with stars in
their eyes remain
happy. Those wishes
breathed as they gaze at me
fail to come true. My heart breaks
for them, but there will always be
those who find forever love, who will
still stargaze when vision is dimmed by age.
