Love Poem: Twas Not My Heart

Twas Not My Heart

Twas not my heart you stole but only my mind
For each thought is possessed by the lingering
The longing of your grace and beauty
Wistfully I bite my lip and bide my time
Hoping your love becomes my possession

Twas not my heart you broke but only my will
No longer does day fade into night
No longer does night bring forth dreams
No longer does life mean anything
You are all and only my will falters unto you

Twas not my heart you hold but only my soul
My very definition is entrapped within a riddle of love
Bewitched by questions answered by questions
Could? Would? Will? Do? You love me
My heart is haunted my spirit is anguished
