Love Poem: Turning

Turning

The lamp and the light,

So out of sight.

How can you hang in the gallows,

When you cast your life in the shadows?

For eternity we've lived in the dark.

Deny us of the truth.

Tell us who we are.

For nothing you say is true.

The angels call my name.

For the love of God.

These ancient wars never cease to shame.

The hourglass is broken.

The horsemen are riding.

The buildings are burning.

Our children are crying.

I am Turning,

But darling priestess I still see you.

The warmth of the sun,

Actions so far undone.

How can we search for the fire,

When love is a vampire?

Love is time,

Living out our lives.

Drinking blood out of our life.

Eternal life is a choice that was not mine.

The angels call my name.

For the love of God.

These ancient wars never cease to shame.

Death has spoken.

The soldiers are fighting.

Day and night is slowly turning.

Our people are dying.

I am Turning,

But darling priestess I still see you.

My soul and my heart.

Through my chest, pain of a poisonous dart.

How can your heart keep beating,

When all your life your wrist have been bleeding.

Seduce me into a painful process.

Behind the angel's face, a demon.

A dead life to discuss.

Forever kiss the sun goodbye.

The angels call my name.

For the love of God.

These ancient wars never cease to shame.

In the flaming wishing well, a silver token.

Along with my wishes, stars evershining.

Pain we are learning.

Fight through it, I'm trying.

I am Turning,

But darling priestess I still see you.

The cross and the wooden stake.

Your hearts about to break.

How can you fear the Reaper?

After all he is your leader.

How can you ignore desire,

When your turned into a vampire?
