True Love Waits

True Love Waits - Sonnet One You tear my heart to pieces with your eyes that wander where they shouldn't when with me. You shred my soul with all your little lies you think I will accept...this cannot be. A heart that wanders I will not accept; my confidence you weaken with your acts. Your selfish ways do not earn my respect, and so my hurt and jealousy react. True love does not leave loved ones in dismay of guessing how their life and needs fit in; one moment being sure you'll not betray; another, feeling hurt, unloved within. And so, goodbye...I need that special one with eyes for me alone...and now we're done. ----------------------------------------------------- True Love Waits - Sonnet Two You thrill my heart to pieces with your eyes that fill my soul when you look into me. I realize you guard me with white lies... protect me from my fears that should not be. My jealous heart must change to now accept those misinterpreted, annoying acts you do so naturally with full respect when lovely women pass and you react. My heart should not be feeling sad dismay; to look is not the same as moving in with actions that could lead to a betray; for, with no doubt, I feel your love within. Let's try again, you are my only one... this jealousy I put to rest...it's done. Sandra M.
