Tried and Twisted - a Love of Toxic Color

TRIED AND TWISTED – A LOVE OF TOXIC COLOR

Tried twisted lover, are you dying for a kiss?
Harmony is crawling
Looking for slivers of forever bliss
I agree, it’s hard, it’s not just you, go on
We have to move on
Let it out don’t cringe at the colors
It’s the same on the other side of the canvas
Tried and twisted colors, which ones do you want me to mix?
Waiting on the moment the palm trees will sing
They want to bend and brush the foam that’s
Sucking, blowing, inhaling and listening for the
Toxicity of your colors as they run
Tired and restless lover, your love is sweetening the taste of life
You left the sugar on my tongue
You wanted to touch it, but life wore on

Every morning they rose and left the colors in their wake
Racing off to the monochrome of some tried and twisted fate
They rolled towards the colors, towards forever and all of their past lovers
Hot heels and corduroy, broken bounds and hair ties found

Blink, blink, she kicked the door in

Now she’s crying in the sand mixing her toxic colors with her hand
Star-ridden and her clothes teach her lessons
Scent of lucky and hardly a trend to begin
Anew, another tried twisted toxic lover
