Love Poem: Treason

Treason

TREASON

I constructed
A magnificent wall,
A huge impenetrable wall
All around us
A proud wall
For I wished to protect and defend
At all cost
And at all time
The most precious gifts of all:
Our love

I fought bravely!
Innumerable battles
I gave
Was hurt
Was injured
I bled almost to
Death
But was not
Defeated
I stood my Ground
For you
For me
FOR US!

What an irony though,
The wall fell,
Surprisingly,
In the course of a single
Night,
Not to an outside enemy
No, nobody could do it,
I swear,
But to an inside
ONE,
You see my dearest
Friend,
The enemy was
My most trusted
ALLY!
