Train of Thought

Train of thought

I once saw a golden rose online,
It cost only £20.

For the lifetime of memories,
kissed in gold,
It’s worth the price, isn’t it?

That rose would never wilt,
It would stand there,
Shiny and bold,
All that was needed,
Was just care,
Making sure you tell everyone to be careful near the rose.
And dusting too,
Making sure the rose looks beautiful and sparking as always.

I saw the rose online,
And I thought of you,
And I knew I would never get that rose from you,
For £20 for a lifetime of happiness is too much for you.
Tbh,
It seems like respect for a lifetime of happiness is too much for you too.

Tbh,
I knew you were poor,
I can accept that,
Not being able to meet in fancy places,
Not offering to pay the bill,
Not traveling too far for me.
That’s ok

But it’s your poorness of heart that I cannot accept,
the lack of respect I cannot accept,
and it’s the lack of kindness that I will not accept.

Tbh,
I am confused.
After all, you did warn me.
You warned me of your greediness
Your shallow way of thinking,
Your roughness.
So why am I angry?

I wanted this didn’t I?
I enjoyed it right?
So why am I angry?
