It is so rich and raw with power
As it overwhelms my heart
Oh how I can simply float away
Because it warms me to the core
The tenderness of a simple thing
Making my heart jump around and sing
And yet remain in my chest
Has always baffled me
But what really gets to me
Is the distance in between
As I have missed a lot of things
Nothing can match up against
The thing I miss all too much
Which is the feeling of your touch
The touch of your hand
The touch of your lips on mine
Down to where our hearts collide
It brings me joy to know these things
Can only sweeten with a touch of time
