Torn Skin

Torn Skin

Sitting in the darkness
harmony of crickets chirping their mating call,
muffled, time consumes life whence blazing blade,
dazzling as it is, seduces body’s fair skin,
powerless senses emotions out of control.
 Answers gone from reach,
 heavy breathing naught amiss.
woman ravished heart dissolved in tears,
solitary languor torn from my soul
 anguish overwhelming, torment fulfilled.
Remorse gilded destiny untold,
cavorts in pallid light, trickle,
 consequences abound me,
decayed love horridly unfolds.
Vermin all about me inducing gaze on torn skin.
Things said meant for eternity Raucous impudence,
Pall of calm, wrought quell, love gone.
Majestic solemn horizons swept into my lofty room,
sunrise’s rays enfold through misty haze,
moist rays profoundly empty solitude.
 Life sleeps
