To the Loved and the Lost

A touch of warmth, from a gentle hand.
A smile so small, but never less than grand.
Tears roll down a cheek, life unplanned.
Time has ended, an hourglass out of sand.

Even the best of us must go and move on.
Bringing joy to us all, that will never be gone.
A sun that brightened life, even before dawn.
A free spirit here, and now free again as a swan.

You graced us with your presence, loved by all.
Celebrating a life so impressive, writings on the wall.
Adored by so many, a tragedy you had to fall.
A breeze brushes a face, a name God had to call.

I want to say somethings I forgot to while you were here.
Life was so ominous and hazy, but your words made it clear.
Your not a person but a guardian, chasing away all the fear.
Your body is no longer be with us, your memory will never disappear.

For you, there are so many tears we had to cry.
We know your up there, learning how to fly.
You were one of the great ones here, no one can deny.
Until we meet again, watch over me, I bid you a farewell goodbye.
