To My Future Husband

Exactly 19 years to the day, November 17th 2000, I wrote this poem for my Future Husband, Elias Proxenos.
We were sweethearts from our early twenties, but fate wasn’t ready for us yet.
We parted, each one of us got married and divorced and each had a wonderful son.
Elias proposed and we were married on the 10th December of the same year. Soul mates are
Always meant to be, which is what we are!

TO MY FUTURE HUSBAND
I love you more each new born day,
I love you more than words can say,
I love you more than clouds so high,
I love you when the morn draws nigh,
I love it when you hold my hand,
And feel you close to where I stand,
I love your kind considerate ways,
You’re like the sun’s most gentle rays,
I love the times when we’re alone,
And cuddle up when we’re at home,
I love it when you hold me tight,
With all your strength, love and might,
I love you whether near or far,
I love you phoning from your car,
I love to listen, hear your voice,
At any time of your own choice,
I love you Winter, Summer, Autumn, Fall
I’ll always be there for your call,
I love the magic of your caring,
And look forward to a world of sharing,
To you I pledge my darling heart,
That this is only just the start,
And so to you I bare my soul,
And long to fill my future role,
Of partner, mistress, friend and wife,
For all, of my remaining life.

And we are still on honeymoon!
