To Dream of Love

To Dream of Love My eyes grow heavy, bewitched of sleep Dreams enchantingly lull my soul Hazy visions coalesce in a reflective mist Painting colorful rainbows of my subtle impressions Thus viewing advances the metamorphosis of light and thought As images dance with deceptive freedom, life is born Playful phantoms of pure intent If only my heart could hold you, my hands could touch you What treasure I would have To dream of love For not - After a night that feels so pure The morning comes too premature And you won't want to rise from rest When light breaks through that distant crest The nightly visage disappears Just before her form's made clear And dawn scares off a perfect dream The illusive fading fairy queen But life and love flow all the more Just beyond the broken shore To swim or sail these rocky waves Requires one with faith to brave With trust in heart and love in hand Escape the shorelines silent sand - Love is a shared emotion which can not be experienced alone. It requires a partner and together the mutual infatuation grows into the enormous emotion known as love. If feelings aren't shared they can never grow beyond a one sided emotion. I have never experienced something so beautiful and pure as love, but I have dreamed, and within my delusions I felt for illusions emotions that should never be.
