Love Poem: To Carry On

To Carry On

don't blow out the candle
save your last breath for me

light flickers an open window
shadows hold near, her stare
starlight's grace, midnight wishes
longing to be found out  there

steam rises, pasts rest
the kettle whistles, a plead
in whispers lain low
kissed off with certain need

moons drip over pools of time
begging with the breeze to carry on

as morning wakes, light breaks
with the blue
trapped inside of you

words dance to seduction
left, a message raps the door
