Timeless Memoirs
There's photos I will treasure till life ends
Those of delightful family and friends
Though most I embrace in heart for all time
You I must say are always on my mind.
These pictures belong to special faces
With whom, I find my foolish heart races
Those I've loved, the memories linger on
But mostly in mind is my number one.
Friends I have gathered along life's highway
Some pass through my mind every single day
Fresh as daisies in life's floral bouquet
Picked for their admirable inner ways.
I recall them often and can’t forget
Lovely times we had, and some to have yet
Words don't come easily, as tear drops fall
For those dearly departed, most of all.
Timeless memoirs I have affection for
Are kept safe in my heart for evermore
Mainly the one who caused my heart to sing
Indelible you, who gave my life wings.
