Timeless Love

Oh, where does the timeless love for you
Spring from? That smile, beautiful, oh yes,
But I haves seen lovely smiles before
I've kissed lips from whence the smile was.

You have gorgeous hair draping shoulders,
I have spread such hair as yours on beds.
Your mouth, quirky; assumes mystery,
I've known mouths even darker than yours.

The world revolves on axis, as do we,
Our core -- our axis -- stars in our eyes.
Oh where does the timeless love for you
Come from, a bit of heaven, and hell.

I have your spirit here with me today,
If I become lost, and sometimes do,
Your spirit beckons me not despair,
I fondle and sniff because it's there.

I've never listened to songs of love,
They have never penetrated my
Psyche. So where does this timeless
Love come from, if not the core of you?
