Love Poem: Time Lost

Time Lost

We may not see the light next week,
As the sun could stay in hiding.
But my dearest dear, there goes a year,
As we busy ourselves deciding.
The roses swiftly sprout up through,
Resembling the thought I had of you,
And if the sun should bid adieu,
We’ll know our worlds colliding.
Say not the stars above should pass,
As morning’s light’s beside us.
To run our fingers through the grass,
As if the Earth could hide us.
But should the world with thunder clamor,
As if our God had swung his Hammer,
My love, the time we’ve spent is never lost,
For lovers’ paths are always crossed.
