Love Poem: Through Him

Through Him

– crossed upon wood were
eyes for our eyes: wet,
ears for our ears: hollow,
hands for hands: empty
                    shaking.

A cup cold till taken
then hot – hurried him away.
Fists hammered hands
hit face and feet;
bled out:
dead
Herein
arose from two timbers
eyes for our eyes: looking,
ears for our ears: listening,
hands in our hands: holding
                    vibrating.

Body, Blood to be taken
with fists open outward
onward feet follow,
face to face
one body of us:
seeing, hearing,
held and found.
