Floating away, on a liquid path My letter fades into the silence of hopefulness Where faith whispers to joy and peace And emotions tangle amid reluctance and relief Hovering, over the lake of melted swells My letter recedes with the ebb and flow of thought Breathing softly across the lake of love Where feelings dance across enchantment and a whim Moving gently, on a fluid swirl of passion My letter retreats into a watery grave of fantasy Coloring my thoughts in shades of insight And inspiration that sparks rays of wonderful poetry Drifting, quietly and reluctant to withdraw My letter seeks shelter in the sprays of a river’s call Grooming long looks toward the rustling songs Naked to the heart who listens for angel’s reflections Wandering, across memories who languish My letter wanes with the rumors of generous truths Where my ideas and dreams fill the spirit In radiant shimmers of starry visions within this message The Last Love Letter Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Mystic Rose Rose January 5, 2021
