Love Poem: This Enchanting Night

This Enchanting Night

A single red rose you gave me and vodka,
          Soft music drifted and candlelight flickered;
You kissed my ruby red lips and I surrendered my heart,
     Our breaths were restless and our hands wild with love.

Beyond our window the moon was high,
           And the stars were sparkling like diamonds;
I gazed into your brown eyes as you whispered of love,
     You stroked my long raven hair with your strong fingertips.

You calmed me with romantic sweet words,
          And our bodies entwined all the night long;
Wrapped in sweet desire you took me to the ocean blue,
     I handed over my heart and a magic love spell was cast.

Your hand of steel touched my glass cheek,
          And you told me-  I would never be alone;
Never again, you said we were forever, ever entwined,
     I settled into your arms and we watched the sky lighten.
