This All Could Be

(an acrostic in sonnet form.)

Things are not perfect, so you do not know
How we can have it all. You’re asking me
If we can reach the stars, but we DO glow!
See all we have, and know eventually. . .

A splendid life will come to us one day.
Love’s grown in us; the perfect life can wait.
Let patience reign. The “more” is on its way!

Can you not see Nirvana is our fate?
Of that I’m very sure. Both of us crave
Understanding, joy, trust, affection and
Lasting love. My dear, keep on being brave.
Do not give up; our life could be so grand!

By now, our love’s a flower growing high.
Eternity is when it touches sky.

Sept. 3, 2019 for Edward Ibeh's Pick A Title, Vol 8 - Acrostic - Poetry Contest
Also using it for Caren Krutsinger's 'Write the Poem You Have Always Wanted to Write' because I challenged myself to mix two forms together.
